2 webprotege questions

Bohms, H.M. (Michel)

I have 2 webprotege questions:

1

When I have:

Is it possible to somehow click on the jpg link (of type xsd:anyURI) to jump to that picture? Or alt. have the figure inserted on the fly by some setting?

2

Is it somehow possible to set the root in the class tree to hide some non-enduser-oriented system classes?

I just want to show the root-tree in:

Thx Michel

Hi Michel,

WebProtege will not show links for things other than IRIs, but I think your request is perfectly reasonable, so I’ve file an issue here:

There’s no way to filter classes in the hierarchy.  I’ve also filed an issue for this here:

Cheers,

Matthew

Re: 2 webprotege questions

Bohms, H.M. (Michel)
In reply to this post by Matthew Horridge-2

Hi Matthew,

Some related ideas:

1

Interpretation/visualisation of rdf:HTMl code as above.

2

More efficient representation of:

Ie: one time the relationship with list of instances

3

Clickable items on the right there (or is that already possible somehow?)

4

Faceted search window

5

SHACL-support (definition, instantiation & validation)

6

Integrated SPARQL window

Just some idea for Christmas 😊

Re: 2 webprotege questions

Thanks, Michel.

Good ideas. I expect that Matthew will react to this, but in the meantime here are a two quick comments from me:

1. Embedding arbitrary HTML code in the WebProtege UI may pose potential security risks, or mess up the UI. We have to think about ways to do this safely and nicely. We could, for example, have a preview button (close to the delete value icon), which would render the HTML content in a separate popup window, for visual inspection.

3. If I understand correctly what you are suggesting, you can already do that. See screen shot below

The triangle is quite faint, indeed, so it is hard to spot it, if you don't know where to look. We should probably make it either a darker grey or change it to a different color (e.g purple).
