About ontologies

I tried to download the cardiology.owl. But i couldn't. Can any one send me a owl file related to disease, symptoms and  treatments.

An obvious place to start your search could be the bioportal [1] or possibly swoogle [2].

I presume you were looking at http://protegewiki.stanford.edu/wiki/Protege_Ontology_Library where the cardiology.owl link is dead? (wasn't ever alive, fwiw :)

If you are interested in cardiology you could look at http://biordf.net/cardioSHARE/
or http://sadiframework.org/content/ which has some pointers and other info about that project.

For an upper ontology for medicine under development see http://code.google.com/p/ogms/

I work on OGMS and other biomedical ontologies. If you would like, send me a note off list about your interests and I can try to hook you up with relevant projects.
