Changes in the ontology after upload it to a new version

Zuriñe Piña Landaburu

Hi all,

First of all, thank you very much for your help. Finally I could upload my first ontology, made with 3.3.1, to 4.3. It seems to be correct, except for a detail: the data that I introduced as object properties appear now as annotations. I didn't made that change, and I would like to maintain them as properties. Could you tell me a way to do it?

Cheers,

Zuri

Zuri,

Most likely the object properties were also declared as annotation properties in Protege 3.3.1. In Protege 4, they probably also show up as annotation properties and object properties.

You can get rid of all annotation property declarations and assertions in protege 4, if you go to the Refactor menu -> Copy/move/delete axioms, and then select Axioms by type. First, select the AnnotationAssertions and delete the ones you want, and then delete the Annotation assertions, by selection "Declaration" and only select the wrong Annotation Property declarations.

If you send us the OWL file, we can check if this is the problem, and help you get rid of the wrong assertions and declarations.

Tania

Tania,

Thank you very much for responding. Here is the OWL file (I had to convert it, because the original version was in RDFS). I would like to leave the properties only as object properties, and maintain all the data and the relations between the data as they are. The ontology is in spanish, so if you don't understand something, please, let me know.

Cheers,

Zuri

Dear Zuriñe,

Attached you can find the reconstructed file with the corresponding object and data properties, as you originally defined them. I suggest that you also add adequate IRIs for the ontology itself, which were not present in the version that you sent.
