Exporting data from PostgreSQL to OWL using Protege 3.5/5.2

pavankvvr

Hi,

I am trying to export data from PostgresSQL to OWL file, so I can directly query OWL using SparQL without interacting with the DB.

I have using OntoBase for this able to see the list of tables in “OWLClasses” tab. Later tried to save as .owl file but we are not see the data or any information in .owl file.

And in Protégé we are able to see a kind of graph with the list of table but not sure how to proceed further with that.

We are trying with Protégé 3.5 & 5.2 versions.

Kindly provide us the list of steps to follow for achieving same.

Best Regards,

Hi Pavan,
You might have a look at the  D2RQ http://d2rq.org/ and in general to the R2RML W3c REC [1]

Also, take a look at Ontop [1], available as a plugin for Protege 5.x (go to menu File -> Check for Plugins... , select "Ontop OBDA Protege Plugin", click "Install", and restart Protege). It may just do exactly what you want.
