Call for Papers - Workshop on Ontology Patterns (WOP2009)

This workshop provides an arena for proposing and discussing good
practices, patterns, pattern-based ontologies, systems etc. The aim is
to broaden the pattern community that will develop its own “language”
for discussing and describing relevant problems and their solutions.
The workshop will be held in conjunction with ISWC2009 on October
25th. It will be a full-day workshop consisting of three parts;
papers, posters, and “pattern writing” sessions.

The main aim of the workshop is to discuss and collect best practices.
Papers will be published in the online CEUR-workshop proceedings.
Original research papers and poster papers are invited to consider the
following (non exhaustive) list of topics:
o    Good practices of ontology design
o    Good practices for hybridization of semantic web and NLP techniques
o    Software patterns for semantic web applications
o    Ontology design patterns (ODPs) and pattern-based ontology design
o    Tools and applications for pattern-based knowledge engineering
o    Collaborative ontology design and collaboration patterns
o    Pattern-based ontology evaluation and selection
o    Correspondence patterns for ontology matching and integration
o    Automatic ontology construction (ontology learning) based on patterns
o    Lexico-syntactic patterns
o    Reasoning patterns
o    Web semantics from a pattern perspective
o    Patterns of semantic social networks, semantic wikis, semantic blogs
o    Contextual reasoning and patterns as context
o    Knowledge patterns and knowledge re-engineering based on patterns
o    Re-engineering patterns for conceptual models, folksonomies,
lexicons, thesauri
o    Pattern-based information extraction
o    Processes and services - process patterns
o    Problem solving methods and patterns
o    Quality evaluation of patterns
o    Benefits of ontology patterns and knowledge patterns
