hi Protege community

How do I start to convert my ontology into database? I have designed my ontology, downloaded and copied mySQL JDBC Driver into my Protege_4.2 directory. But each time i start Protege, it still opens the normal ontology development window.

And I need the Create New Protege and the ...JDBC Database window(s). Protege documentation is not helping. How do I start Protege to get this done? Or what am I doing wrong?

It sounds like you are using the Protege 4 series, but reading the documentation for the Protege 3 series.  The Protege 4 series does not come with a database back-end.  Protege 4 is good at loading large ontologies.  Is there a particular reason that you are trying to convert your ontology to a database?

Best,
Jennifer
