Opening owl file from purl

rrovetto
If a purl directs to a raw OWL file, will protege open it under all circumstances?
(If not, is there a way to do so?)
I assume the purl does not need to end with '.owl', right?

Sorry for the trivial question, but have you tried it?
Any PURL should be fine as long as it point to a valid ontology file.
