P4 build changes

Simon Jupp
Hi,
I have just updated my P4 svn repository (from rev 11062 to rev
11066). I am currently building with IntelliJ but I have noticed a few
things have been renamed and its all a bit broken for me at the
moment :-(

Can someone just give me a list of the major things that have changed
so I can quickly identify the problem.

Cheers,
Simon

Re: P4 build changes

Timothy Redmond

This is my bad - I promised everybody I would write a note to the p4
list  when I made this change.

So I renamed all the eclipse osgi jars to not have version information
in them.  I also moved all the jars except for the org.eclipse.osgi
jar into subdirectories (bundles for the jars that are not found
dynamically and plugins  for  the ones that are).  This is the change
that requires changes in your ide.

The reason for making the change involves the difficulty of changing
the version of eclipse  used in the Protege distribution.  With the
old way, updating the eclipse distribution meant there were four or so
configuration files that needed to change, all build files need
updating and we need to inform all developers that  the names had
changed.  With this naming scheme we only need to go through this
pain once.

Sorry for the confusion.
