Protege 4.3.2 opening error

Pekka Valta

Hi,

started testing Protege 4.3.2 on Mac OS X, 10.6.8 .  Definied one class and saved the ontology as OWL Manchester file. When opening that owl file again in Protege I got an error (see log). What is wrong?

BR Pekka

The latest version of Protege is 4.3.0, build 304.  I'm not aware of a 4.3.2.

I followed the steps you outlined and wasn't able to reproduce this.  The Manchester OWL Syntax is used in the Protege UI for display, but it's not necessarily the recommended format for saving ontologies.  See this thread for more detail:

http://protege-ontology-editor-knowledge-acquisition-system.136.n4.nabble.com/Manchester-Syntax-unsuited-td3614906.html#a3617087

If you use the Protege default for saving ontologies (RDF/XML), do you still have errors?

Jennifer
