Protege Plugin did not start successfully

Pramit Bhattacharyya
Hi all,

I am trying to develop a protege plugin that involves similarity between
words. But whenever I try to import the relative jar files through maven it
is showing  Protege Plugin  was not successfully started.  Please see the
Protégé log for more details.

Re: Protege Plugin did not start successfully

Lorenz Buehmann
You have to configure the Maven Bundle plugin in your POM file properly.
DeepLearning4J has to be added as import and embedded dependency

Dear Pramit,

Maven and OSGI (used for Protege plugins) use different dependency resolution mechanism. The maven dependencies are written in pom files, OSGI dependencies are written in Manifest.MF file. Maven is used for compiling a plugin, OSGI when running it. You need to make sure that all dependencies of your plugin are either provided (embedded) in your JAR or exported by other bundles (there should be import declarations in our Manifest.MF that match the export declarations of the bundle that provides the dependencies).

Perhaps this short tutorial (specific to Eclipse IDE) can help:

Best Regards,
