Ferrante,
        usually OWL questions are addressed in the OWL forum [protege-
[hidden email]] .  If you download the "full" version of  
Protégé, the owl plug-ins [and many others] are included.  You can  
load them using the Project | Configure menu.  Just check the box of  
the tabs you want to add [at least the top two" OWL Classes and  
Individuals]  and they will load immediately.  If you don't have the  
full version, you can also download the plugin .jar files from the  
Protégé Plug In page and put them in the "plugins" folder/directory;  
then you load them the same way.  Its pretty simple and straightforward.

Ferrante:

  I found it helpful to look at the "Project>Preferences" box.

  What you are looking for may be on a "per project" basis, rather than being a preference of the Protege-OWL application itself.
